旧金山,又称“圣弗朗西斯科”、“三藩市”。美国加利福尼亚州太平洋岸海港、工商业大城市。位于太平洋与圣弗朗西斯科湾之间的半岛北端,三面环水,环境优美,是一座山城。市区是典型的丘陵地带,色彩缤纷的低层小楼盘山而建,市内有大小岗峦42座,不少街道相当陡斜。这里属于亚热带地中海气候,冬暖夏凉、阳光充足,被誉为“最受美国人欢迎的城市”。此城位于加州主要地震区,面积47平方英里,全市人口约805,873人(截止到2011年6月),其中华人25万。1769年西班牙人发现此地,1848年加入美联邦。
San Francisco, also known as “San Francisco”, “San Francisco”. Pacific coast of California, the United States seaport, big business city. Located in the northern end of the peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, surrounded by water, beautiful environment, is a mountain city. Downtown is a typical hilly area, colorful low-rise small building plateau mountain, the city has 42 large and small hills, quite a few steep streets. Here belongs to the subtropical Mediterranean climate, warm in winter and cool in summer, sunny, known as “the most popular city of Americans ”. Located in a major earthquake area in California, the city covers 47 square miles and has a population of about 805,873 (as of June 2011), of which 250,000 are Chinese. The Spanish discovered it in 1769 and joined the Commonwealth in 1848.
