利用聚氨酯模具可以对金属薄板材进行冲裁、弯曲、引伸等加工,但对图示的钢丝作坯料的零件,由于小直径部位与聚氨酯橡胶模具接触面积小,而压不出合格零件(R1.5部位)。下面介绍一种嵌入刚性元件的聚氨酯模具,尺寸很小的弯也可压制出来。所谓嵌入刚性元件,即在聚氨酯凹模中嵌入所需要变形尺寸的刚性元件,如图b嵌入两根圆棒,就能压出图a的零件。若引伸一个在底部具有一个球面窝的筒形件,可预先在聚氨酯凹模内嵌入一个小钢球(图c)。
