汉江是长江重要支流之一,发源于秦岭山脉南麓,流经陕西、四川、河南及湖北等省,于武汉市注入长江,全长达1560公里,流域面积159000平方公里。千流丹江口以上,除汉中、安康、李官桥少数盆地外,余均为高山峡谷,称为上游;丹江口以下,地势逐渐平缓属浅山丘陵区,而进入中游;钟祥以下,即为广阔的汉江平原称下游。平原两岸筑有完整的堤防体系,保护着500万人口、800万亩耕地,这一地区是湖北省重要粮棉基地之一。但由于上游来洪势猛量大,致广大中游平原地区经常洪水泛滥,特别是下游河床受堤防约束愈往下愈
The Han River is one of the important tributaries of the Yangtze River. It originated in the south of the Qinling Mountains and flows through Shaanxi, Sichuan, Henan and Hubei provinces. It injects into the Yangtze River in Wuhan City with a total length of 1560 kilometers and a watershed area of 159,000 square kilometers. Thousands of Danjiangkou above, in addition to Hanzhong, Ankang, Li Guanqiao a few basins, Yu are alpine valleys, known as the upper; below the Danjiangkou, gradually flat terrain is shallow hills, and into the middle; Zhongxiang, is the vast Han River Plain Downstream.
