Hybrid energy storage systems （HESS） have been applied to leveling the renewable energy output power fluctuation with a leveling effect related with the leveling target and the power allocation method. In order to optimize the operation of HESS, this paper has studied the method for determining the leveling target and the control strategy for power allocation between different energy storage mediums.
