大型机器制造要求制造大型的齿轮传动装置。这时,若用正常的设计方式,齿轮尺寸的扩大就要受到毛坯制造、加工、运输方面的限制,成本也会急剧地增加。因此,对齿轮进行淬火处理,再进行精加工,可提高齿轮的强度和使用寿命,缩小齿轮传动装置的尺寸,以节省材料、降低成本、提高使用性能。基于上述原因,本试验目的试图用硬质合金滚刀精加工淬硬齿轮,以便使我厂现有传动齿轮的软齿面硬度由HB270提高到HB370,进而达到HRC60以上。

For the above reasons, the purpose of this test attempts to use hard alloy hob finishing hardened gear, so that the existing transmission gear soft tooth surface hardness increased from HB270 to HB370, and then to HRC60 above.
