Luanchuan County is located in the center of polymetallic metallogenic belt in the western part of Henan Province. It has proved that the reserve of molybdenum is 206,000 tons and that of white tungsten is 60,000 tons, which is rare in China. The recovery of scheelite in molybdenum mines has always been a project that the Science and Technology Department of Henan Province attaches great importance to. After hard work, Henan Province and the National Institute of Nonferrous Metals of Russia reached an agreement in 2000. Thanks to the joint efforts of experts from China and Russia in the past two years, it has plagued Mincheon.
