After World War II, the long-ruling Social Democrats formulated a set of strategies and policies to promote Sweden’s economic and social development. This has had a profound and profound impact on the formation of post-war Sweden’s economic system and its economic development. At present, Sweden ranks among the most economically advanced countries in the world. In 1989, Sweden had a per capita gross national product of 21,570 U.S. dollars, up from the U.S. (20,910 U.S. dollars), Germany (20,440 U.S. dollars), France (17,820 U.S. dollars) and Denmark (20,450 U.S. dollars). Apart from the tremendous achievements in economic and social development, the most impressive thing is its unique economic system. Some people generalize Sweden’s economic system as a “mixed economy,” while others call it the “social welfare system.” In short, no matter how people rate it, Sweden has formed its own unique economic system - the “Swedish model.”
