陆人龙《型世言》第三回《悍妇计去孀姑孝子生还老母》,取材于宋懋澄《九籥别集》“稗”类中的《吴中孝子》,而非徐复祚《花当阁丛谈》卷五之《金潮》。但《悍妇计去孀姑孝子生还老母》的篇幅比《吴中孝子》扩大了十倍多,情节结构之针线更加细密,达到了生活真实与艺术真实的统一。虽然两篇小说素材相同,但由于陆人龙、宋懋澄二人抱有不同的写作目的,于是他们便赋予各自作品以不同的艺术构思,这从一个侧面显示出白话小说作家对文言小说的学习与接受。
