To investigate telomerase activity in lymphoma cell lines and lymphoma tissues and its role in the development of lymphoma. Methods: Telomerase activity was detected by TRAP combined with silver staining in 3 human lymphoma cell lines, 2 7 lymphoma and 4 benign lymph node lesions. Results: Telomerase activity was detected in all three human lymphoma cell lines, 26 of 24 lymphoma samples were positive for telomerase, accounting for 96%. Four of the benign lymph node lesions also showed different degrees of telomerase activity Activity, of which 2 were less active than lymphoma. CONCLUSION: Telomerase activity is present in malignant lymphomas, but positioning studies are necessary to identify cells with telomerase activity. The interpretation of telomerase-positive expression in lymphoid disorders needs to be considered with particular caution
