潮州大锣鼓是流行于广东省潮汕地区的吹打乐,从清锣鼓形式发展起来,是潮汕地区最具群众性的乐种之一,可以作为一种素材应用到音乐专业教学中。将潮州锣鼓经引入视唱练耳课堂教学,可以改变视唱练耳专业教学中民间音乐多声部节奏练习素材的匮乏现象,扩大视唱练耳音乐教育的审美内涵,有利于学生把握地域音乐文化的审美特征,改变目前国内盛行的“西方音乐教学模式”。
