The Sino-British war in 1840, Westerners called the war on trade, the Chinese called the Opium War. The war was triggered by a ban on smoking, which affected the historical process of the world originated from Occident after the industrial revolution. Therefore, the Sino-British war not only reflects the conflict between reason and potential, but also reflects the conflicts of the Middle Ages and the modern times. This mismatch foreshadows the twists and turns of a hundred-year history. Reading history of future generations of this period of experience easily lead to endless emotion and thinking.
