刘巨德先生是一位质朴诚恳的师表、一名直溯生命源头的画家、一个以画笔进行思考的哲人。我与他虽在不同高校,但为同级研究生,不时听到京滇两地朋友提及他,也零星看过他展出的佳作。他在担任清华大学美术学院副院长期间,曾经亲临寒舍看望。最近,我观赏了他的大量作品,也拜读了他的一些文章,又在余洋博士的陪同下造访他的工作室,走近了这位当代很有代表性的重要画家。刘巨德的代表性渊源于近现代美术 Mr. Liu Jude is a rustic and sincere teacher’s watch, an artist who went straight to the source of his life, a philosopher who paints his brush.
