Objective: To investigate the effect and mechanism of hypericin combined with low-frequency ultrasound (HY-SDT) on THP-1 macrophages. Methods: Confocal laser scanning confocal microscopy was used to examine the localization of HY, the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), the opening of mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP) and the expression of LC3. The mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) was observed by fluorescence microscope. Hoechst-PI staining, transmission electron microscopy and flow cytometry were used to observe autophagy and apoptosis.
