在老挝北部地区目前仍没有建立起地层格架,以致无法探讨其演化历史,无法与邻区开展区域构造带对比研究.为此,近3年来,在老挝北部沿公路进行了区域地层学调查研究,发现其上二叠统含煤碎屑岩系能够与思茅盆地羊八寨组对比、中二叠统碎屑岩系能够与思茅盆地拉竹河组对比、黑色薄层灰岩系能够与思茅盆地中三叠统臭水组对比,浅灰色白云质灰岩系能够与思茅盆地中三叠统大水井山组对比.所以,在老挝北部地区,琅勃拉邦构造带与清莱构造带之间分布的地层能够很好地与滇西南哀牢山及澜沧江构造带之间的景谷地层系统对比.证明泰国北部难河构造带不可能穿过老挝北部地区与澜沧江构造带相连接.
In the northern part of Laos, there is still no established stratigraphic framework so that its evolution history can not be explored and the regional tectonic belts can not be contrasted with its neighboring areas. The Middle Permian clastic series can be compared with the Lazhuhe Formation in the Simao Basin. The black thin-bedded limestone series can be compared with the Simao Basin Compared with the Middle Triassic stink water group, the light gray dolomitic limestone can be compared with the Middle Triassic Dashuishan Formation in the Simao Basin, so that in the northern part of Laos, between Luang Prabang tectonic belt and the Qinglai structural belt The distribution of strata can be compared well with that of the Jinggu Formation between the Ailao Mountains and the Lancangjiang tectonic belt in the southwestern Yunnan Province, indicating that it is impossible to connect the Dan River structural belt in northern Thailand to the Lancangjiang structural belt through northern Laos.
