Objective: To observe the changes of copper and zinc in organs of tumor-bearing mice and the dynamic distribution of copper and zinc in vivo after oral administration of copper acetate (150 mg/kg). METHODS: A solid tumor model was established in Balb/C mice and the copper and zinc contents in tissues were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Results: The levels of copper in the liver and gastrointestinal tissues of tumor-bearing mice were significantly lower than those in the normal control group (all P<001), and the serum and spleen tissues were higher than those in the control group (all P<001). At the same time, the content of zinc in heart tissue and serum had a significant decrease compared with the normal control group (all P<005), but there was a significant increase in liver and spleen (P<005, P<0). 01). After oral administration of copper salts in tumor-bearing mice, different degrees of elevation were observed in the observed tissues. The high copper value appeared at 05h with serum; at 2h, there was heart, spleen, lung, kidney, and gastrointestinal tract, and blood cells and tumor tissues appeared at the highest value at 5h; copper in liver tissue increased at 12h; zinc As the copper changes, the time at which the high value of zinc occurs is usually synchronized or shifted backward (except for the liver). Conclusion: The tumor-bearing tumor changes the distribution of copper and zinc in the body, the serum copper is elevated, and the copper in the liver and gastrointestinal tissues is reduced. After copper was administered, the dynamic changes of copper and zinc in tumor-bearing mice varied with different tissues. The liver was the main organ for copper accumulation.
