Currently, hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) high titer antibody immunoglobulin (Ig) preparations have been approved in different countries. This article reviews the use of Ig containing HBsAg high titer antibodies to prevent hepatitis B. Double-blind observation of prophylactic effect of “acupuncture” exposure in several hemodialysis centers. 251 medical staff exposed to HBsAg received standard gamma globulin and an additional 253 received hepatitis B immunoglobulin (HBIg).
