The first time into the pit primary school, one at a glance to see the campus on the four corners of the four towering neem tree, along the four dark green shade, followed by the props arranged in order seats, commando, ball A swing, a not too wide runway around the perimeter of these four trees, surrounded by a small playground, and then outside the original school buildings and classrooms, and then surrounded by orchards; then Areca and distant mountains The playgrounds defined by the four neem trees clearly define the spatial character of the base and the sense of place on the campus. This is a peaceful primary school in Taichung County. From a mountain elementary school to the middle of the Great Snow Mountain from the east, there are more than 80 students, mainly Hakka people in the village. After several trips to school, we pondered between the four trees around the playground, thinking about the location of the classroom, the performance stage under the tree next to the music classroom, the afternoon sun outside the window of the library, imagining the future of school buildings around The four scenes and four narratives developed by the four big trees remind of the four landscape paintings in the Northern Song Dynasty painter Guo Xi’s “Lin Quan Gao Zhi”: feasible, observable, tourable, and liveable.
