1998年8月,湖北省公安县闸口镇13岁少年聂愿愿被录取为华中理工大学本科生,成为华中地区历史上年龄最小的通过正常途径考取的大学生。这条消息在当地乃至全国引起了轰动,13岁的聂愿愿被誉为“神童”。更令人吃惊的是,聂愿愿只陆陆续续地读过3年小学和一年半高中,其余时间便呆在家中在父亲的“私塾”式教育下自学成才。聂愿愿13岁考上大学,到底是“压力教育”的成果,还是对学校教育的挑战?这种教育方法对他的身心健康有何影响?带着这些问题,笔者走访了有关专家和教育界人士,请他们谈了自己的看法。
