1950年,日本据事故分析认识到偏载是货车脱轨的主要原因之一,于是以日本国铁技术研究所为中心开展了研究工作。第一台测量超、偏载的装备于1953年完成,在新鹤见编组站试用。1956年开始正式测量,测过的二十四万多辆车中,发现176辆超载车,216辆偏载车。1965年在新鹤见编组站、稻泽编组站及吹田编组站重新设置该装置。1967年在大宫编组站设置。1974年将经改进的该装备设于武藏野编组站(图1)。后来,青森、长野、幡生编组站也装设了这种装置。总计已有10台。
In 1950, according to the accident analysis in Japan, it was recognized that partial load was one of the main reasons for the derailment of trucks. Therefore, the research work was centered on the Japan National Institute of Technology in Japan.
