Comparison of wet magnetic separation and dry magnetic separation Wet magnetic separation due to the ore particles are subject to good water dispersion and cleaning effect, so beneficiation indicators are generally better. However, wet selection has the following disadvantages: (1) The consumption of water is very large. One ton of raw ore needs 6 to 8 cubic meters of water, and some even up to 10 cubic meters. (2) There should be water supply, drainage and water Clarification of operations; (3) Work and stoppage are not as smooth as dry selection; (4) Concentrates must be dewatered and dried; (5) There are also adverse effects on the transport of mineral processing products and the insulation of electrical components. Although the dry election can avoid these shortcomings mentioned above, its biggest drawback is that the ore dressing index is not high, especially for the ore with more water and more fine particles. This phenomenon was confirmed by Jerkaki and Dacik. The authors also have a similar experiment, the results are shown in Table 1. In a certain range, the more water, fine particles, dry magnetic separation
