Objective: To investigate the effect of pressure ulcer management process on the incidence of skin lesions in critically ill patients with low-grade nurses to effectively control the incidence of pressure ulcers. Methods: The clinical nursing data of 827 critically ill patients admitted to our department from April 2011 to May 2015 were analyzed. Nurses with qualifications of 2 years or below were employed as observation group (n = 48) with pressure ulcer and pressure ulcer management procedure. Nurses with clinical work of more than 2 years as control group (n = 73) . Compare the occurrence of skin lesions in both groups. Results: The incidence of skin injury in critically ill patients in observation group was 7.38%, which was significantly lower than that in control group (40.02%, P <0.05). Conclusion: The establishment of the department pressure ulcer management team to develop pressure ulcer management process, systematic pressure ulcer training can significantly reduce the incidence of critically ill patients with skin lesions and improve the quality of care.
