吴县地处长江三角洲的太湖之滨,西部为丘陵地区,东部为平原河网地区。1979年全年粮食总产达15.0207亿斤,平均亩产1,394.6斤,1978年底开始了第二次土壤普查,按照因地制宜、因土改良的原则,狠抓了成果应用,促进了农业增产。深耕改土针对目前土壤耕层变浅、犁底层增厚变实的问题,我们采取深耕改土措施,取得了良好效果。据全县土壤普查统计,在5,584个土壤剖面中,有90%的耕作层不到15厘米,其中50%少于13厘米。由于浅耕,耕层以下土壤长期耕翻不到,不能晒垡,加上淹
Wu County is located in the Yangtze River Delta coast of Taihu Lake, hilly areas in the west, east of the plain river network area.
