我校教师深入学习党的八届十中全会文件和有关教育工作的指示和政策以后,进一步认识到教学工作必须密切结合农业生产的实际需要,才能更好地培养有社会主义觉悟的有文化的劳动者,学生在将来参加农业生产时,才能将所学的知识用到农业生产中去。过去有部分算术教师有这样的错误想法和作法,认为“算术在农村中没有用处”,“算术教学只是单纯为了升学”,因而,不重视联系农业生产实际来培养学生的四则计算能力和初步解决实际问题的能力,以至不少高小毕业生到了农业生产第一线,不能胜任记工员的工作,甚至个别的人,算算简单收支账目都感到困难。为了改变这种情况,我们曾专门派了两个老师到农村中去了解农业生产中常用到的算术知识和技能,并在算术教学中,采取了如下一些联系农业生产实际的作法。

In order to change this situation, we have sent two special teachers to the rural areas to understand the math knowledge and skills commonly used in agricultural production. In arithmetic teaching, we have taken the following practical approaches of linking agricultural production.
