生产中长期沿用下列公式设计阿基米德蜗轮滚刀的齿形: ctga_1=ctga_0±K·Z/Sk……(1) 式中 a_1——滚刀左、右两侧齿面的轴截形齿形角; a_0——滚刀基本蜗杆的轴截形齿形角; S_k——滚刀螺旋槽导程; Z_k——滚刀螺旋槽数; K——铲齿凸轮升程。公式中的负号和正号分别用于右旋滚刀的右侧和左侧;左旋反之。虽然公式(1)是螺旋槽滚刀的设计公式,但由于一般蜗轮滚刀螺旋升角都大于5°,应制或螺旋槽;且直槽也可看成S_k=∞的特例,所以公式(1)是阿基米德蜗轮滚刀齿形设计的通用公式。
