1999年2月26日,江泽民总书记在全国对外宣传工作会议上发表重要讲话,指出:“信息传播业正面临着一场深刻革命,以数字压缩技术和卫星通信技术为主要标志的信息技术的发展,互联网的运用,使信息达到的范围、传播的速度与效果都有显著增大和提高。世界各国争相运用现代化信息技术加强和改进对外传播手段。我们必须适应这一趋势,加强信息传播手段的更新和改造,积极掌握和运用现代传播手段。”这些论断,言简意赅,高屋建瓴,启发着我们认真思考:报纸、广播、电视这些传统的新闻传播媒介,应该怎样迎接21世纪?
