记者王好报道国庆前夕记者在北电网络(中国)公司举行的新闻发布会上获悉:北电网络已获得中国联通价值1800万美元的合同。旨在中国中东部9省市,以北京为中心建设多业务骨干网和光纤以太网。我国中东部10省市总人口占全国人口的47％,总产值占GDP一半。随着骨干光网的发展,其速率也由数十Gbps发展到Tbps,而企业光以太网及家庭宽带网也由Gbps向10Gbps推广,城域网络成为骨干网通往家庭、企业的瓶颈。北电为12个项目提供的城域网方案
Reporter Wang Hao reported on the eve of National Day reporters learned at a press conference held by Nortel Networks (China) Company that Nortel Networks has obtained a contract valued at US $ 18 million by China Unicom. It aims at building 9 multi-service backbone networks and fiber Ethernet in the 9 provinces and municipalities in central and eastern China with Beijing as the center. The total population of the 10 provinces and cities in the central and eastern parts of the country occupies 47% of the total population, with the total output value accounting for half of GDP. With the development of backbone optical network, the rate has also been developed from tens of Gbps to Tbps, while the enterprise optical Ethernet and home broadband networks are also promoted from Gbps to 10Gbps.
