近些年来,由于对黄金需要量的增加和国际市场黄金价格的不断上涨,以及含金富矿经过开采而逐渐减少,开发利用低品位金矿产资源的研究和实践已引起许多国家的重视.其中,用堆浸法从低品位金矿石中提取金是颇有前途的方法.它具有流程简短、占地少;规模可因地制宜,从几千吨到几十万吨不等;适应性强,特别是可处理开采边界品位以下的低品位金矿石(3~1克金/吨),提高了矿产资源的可利用程度;基建投资和生产费用皆较低,经济上有利等优点.其缺点是浸出率尚不够高(一般为60~80%);堆矿控制不当可能引起地下水的污染.
