目前,电火花成型加工机床中采用的液压伺服进给系统及力矩电机、步进电机伺服进给系统,对粗规准和中规准加工基本满足要求,电火花加工时的有效脉冲利用率可达70%左右。但对电火花精微加工,现有的进给系统均满足不了要求,即使在由液压伺服阀控制的性能良好的日本 D P30精密电火花机床上加工,有效脉冲利用率也只有1%左右。这是由于精微加工时放电间隙很小,一般在几微米范围内,要跟踪这样小的放电间隙非常困难,因而间隙经常处于开路或短路状态,有效脉冲很少。步进电机具有很好的低速性能,在小型电火花机床中得到应用,但目前的进给系统还不能满足
