衔接理论在许多学科的广泛应用显示其较强的生命力,而应用于语篇分析之中能帮助我们廓清语篇的意义整体和微观联系,更能加深对语篇的理解和欣赏。黑色幽默是一种文学艺术表现形式,强调运用荒诞和无奈来表达人生哲理。本文以衔接理论为研究依据,对黑色幽默作家库尔特.冯尼格特在纽约圣约翰教堂的演说进行衔接语篇分析,旨在揭示衔接手段对黑色幽默艺术效果的语篇功能。
Cohesion theory is widely used in many disciplines to show its strong vitality, and applied to discourse analysis can help us to clarify the meaning of the discourse as a whole and the micro-relationship, but also to deepen the understanding and appreciation of the discourse. Black humor is a form of literary and artistic expression, emphasizing the use of absurdity and frustration to express the philosophy of life. Based on the cohesion theory, this article analyzes the cohesive discourse analysis of the black humorist Kurt Vonnegut’s speech at St John’s Church in New York to reveal the cohesive discourse function of the art of black humor.
