新故著名哲学家叶秀山先生同时也是一位严肃的书法美学学者。他的书法研究,一直沿着“哲学—美学—书学”的路子,与他的西方哲学史研究相得益彰,融为一体。他将中国书法美学纳入西方哲学的视野下,用世界性的学术话语,构建起中国书法美学的理论体系。总之,他对书法美学的理解和解释,再次证明了书法不仅是中国的,也是世界的。
So well-known philosopher Ye Xiushan is also a serious scholar of calligraphy aesthetics. His study of calligraphy has been along the path of “philosophy - aesthetics - book learning”, and his Western philosophy history research complement each other and blend. He incorporates the Chinese calligraphy aesthetics into the western philosophical field of vision, constructs the theoretical system of Chinese calligraphy aesthetics with worldwide academic discourse. In short, his understanding of and interpretation of calligraphic aesthetics proves once again that calligraphy is not only China, but also the world.
