在现代和当代工笔花鸟画坛上福建出了两位卓有成就的艺术家,他们就是陈子奋和郑乃珖先生。陈子奋先生在长期的研究和探索中,以其独特的陈子奋白描填补了近、现代工笔花鸟这方面研究的空白。他的著作《陈子奋白描花卉册》曾由上海人民美术出版社出版并一版再版,被国内多所大专艺术院校作为工笔花鸟画的教材,被许多工笔花鸟画的习画者作为范本。他的画作五、六十年代曾多次参加全国美展, There are two accomplished artists in Fujian in modern and contemporary Chinese painting and calligraphy.
