21世纪社会生产力的突飞猛进,计算机的应用,影像与印刷技术的革命,商业营销对视觉的重视,使得美术编辑从插图、版面设计等单一功能转向与新闻、营销、科技结合的全新定位,因此对美术编辑的职业规划需重新认识。职业是社会分工的需要,专业将职业技能专一化、学术化、规范化,职业的提升与发展须上升为专业。美术编辑专业体系不但需要建立视觉规范,还需要提升视觉创意,创意已取代单纯的美术制作,成为衡量美术编辑专业高度的标尺。
