In March and April this year, Anguelov, an associate professor at the Higher Institute of Geology and Mineralogy of Bulgaria, was invited to give lectures in Changchun. The content of lectures has three parts, the first part is the microstructure of clay and its components. In this section, he focuses on four issues: clay composition; structural research methods; structural basic units and structural links; the classification of clay microstructures and clay rocks. On the composition and structure research methods, he introduced various methods used in the world, and introduced the application of electron microscopy, x-ray diffraction and thermal analysis methods in the study of the composition of clay and the related considerations.
