When exploring minerals or doing other work, it is often necessary to quickly determine the chemical composition of the rock or other material. However, when the analysis is performed, the general method is generally used - the application of chemical agents for the reaction of substances - this often takes a long time: sometimes it will take a few days. As we all know, any kind of minerals decomposes into a variety of gases (water vapor, oxygen, etc.) when heated to a certain temperature. In this way, if the quantitative mineral powder is heated in an electric furnace, the chemical composition can be determined based on the volume of the gas that has been decomposed.
