The calibration of seismometric instruments is the basic work in seismic observation technology. In order to meet the needs of China’s earthquake science and technology modernization, the Shanghai Seismological Bureau was established in October 1982 with the support of the Scientific Research Office of the State Seismological Bureau. The “Low-frequency Standard Vibration and Data Processing and Analysis System” was established. At present, technical services have been carried out.
