2001年10月——21世纪的第一个金秋,在首都北京,《百年中国画展》隆重开幕,参加此次大展的有542位中国画家的551件中国画精品。其中在美术史上有着卓越贡献和盛大声誉的艺术大师的名字是:吴昌硕、齐白石、黄宾虹、林风眠、徐悲鸿、蒋兆和、刘海粟、张大千等。在美术馆正厅环壁上,有一幅描绘20世纪30年代中国因战乱遭受流离失所之苦的流民群像图,因场地所限,展出的9丈之长的画幅也仅仅是原作的局部。它就是中国近代美术史上具有影响的杰作——《流民图》。凝望着这熟悉的笔墨,笔者
October 2001 - The first golden autumn of the 21st century, the “Centennial Chinese Painting Exhibition” was grandly opened in the capital city of Beijing. There were 551 Chinese painting works by 542 Chinese artists participating in the exhibition. Among the art masters who have made outstanding contributions and grand reputations in the history of fine arts are: Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Lin Fengmian, Xu Beihong, Jiang Zhaohe, Liu Haisu and Zhang Daqian. On the wall of the gallery’s main hall, there is a pictorial portrait depicting the suffering of China in the 1930s as a result of the displacement. As a result of the site constraints, the 9-inch format displayed is only a part of the original version.
