Methods for the determination of phenytoin in biological and pharmaceutical samples include titration, colorimetry, UV spectrophotometry, TLC-colorimetry, non-aqueous titration and gravimetric methods. These methods are time consuming, lacking in specificity, and require more samples. GC method is more specific, but must be prepared derivatives, at the same time, the production of sweet creatures is not one. HPLC rules must be extracted in advance, and not enough for exact identification. This paper reports the rapid, simple and specific nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) method for the determination of phenytoin and its sodium salt in capsules and tablets with an average recovery of 99.9
