改革开放给中国盆景艺术的发展,开创了新局面。使中国盆景艺术的发展、汇集到世界文化艺术发展的大潮流之中。对此,我国盆景界一些人士自然会对某些问题产生不同看法,这并不奇怪,认识的改变需要有一个过程。盆景艺术发展至今,已普及于全世界,成为世界性艺术。从这一点出发,我认为中外盆景作品在创作上有它共同的规律;在盆景美的鉴赏和品评方面也有它大同小异的准则。这也就是说中外盆景从本质上说是一回事。我想这一观点大多数的同行是会赞同的。目前国内一些人的不同看法,首先表现在对中外盆景的名称叫法上。认为中国的是盆景,外国的是盆栽。进而认为,中国的盆景是讲诗情画意,是高等艺术;外国的盆栽是讲自然树相,言下之意,是低层次的。产生这一想法的原因是;一、没有看到中外盆景在本质上的同一性,于是乎出现了概念上的混淆。二、不了解之所以产生不同叫法的历史原因——有一个时间差的问题。产生这种想法的根源是唯我独尊思想在作怪。这是唯心的。它
