神岡冶炼厂对炉渣电热烟化法,包括用电炉直接还原铅鼓风炉锌渣进行了研究与运用。此法的特点是直接从炉渣生产金属锌。相反,大多数炉渣烟化车间一般是生产粗氧化锌,需进一步处理以生产金属锌。此外,神岡冶炼厂还发展了獨特的炼铅法,用特殊方法把隣近电锌厂的锌浸出渣与普通锌精矿一起处理。锌浸出渣中所含的金、银、铋和铅在有炉渣电热烟化法的炼铅工厂中有效地回收。因此,采用炉渣电热烟化法使炼铅厂与锌电解厂之间建立了联系。
