July 16, 1918, Tsar Nicholas II, a family of seven and four servants were executed, the body disappeared. For more than 70 years, the whereabouts of the late Tsar’s bones, known as the “Mysteries of the Century,” have been a topic of great interest to historians. In 1989, a man from the former Soviet Union, called Riapov, wrote a series of articles detailing the discovery of a burial site for the Tsar and called for the bury of the bones again, with the approval of then President Gorbachev. In July 1991, the bones of the Romanovs and servants were excavated from the mud, and “The Mysteries of the Century” was finally opened. Discover motivation
