In November 2004, the magazine “Mongolian Studies” column was selected to the Ministry of Education of philosophy and social sciences journal column construction project. For us, this is both an honor and a recognition of the past work of this section as well as a new opportunity and challenge. We will take this as an opportunity to regard it as a new starting point for our work and strive to make this section better in the future. In recent years, with the development of disciplines, the research field of Mongolian studies has been gradually broadened. From the traditional fields of Mongolian language, literature and historical studies, it gradually expanded to many aspects such as culture and economy. As an academic publication in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is absolutely duty-bound for us to continue to run the column of “Studies in Mongolia” and actively promote the study of Mongolology. Here, we invited several experts and scholars from our school to discuss the status quo and future development of Mongolian studies from the aspects of language, literature, history and culture.
