This article systematically studied the color reaction of 4,4’-bis (diethylamino) -diphenylthione (BDPTK) with Pt 2+. Unlike the reaction of Au ~ (3 +), Pd ~ (2 +) and Ag ~ +, the reaction between BDPTK and Pt ~ (2+) should be carried out smoothly with the presence of ascorbic acid and heating. The reaction in HAc-NaAc medium, boiling water bath heating 15 minutes, the molar absorption coefficient up to 1.29 × 10 ~ 5. For platinum, this is one of the rare high-sensitivity color reactions.
