Crowd intervention trials show that β-carotene does not prevent lung cancer. Wu Yongning Chen Junshi epidemiological study found that eating more vegetables and fruits can reduce the incidence of a variety of human cancers [1,2], the result has been recognized by the majority of scientists. Peto et al [3] from the University of Oxford in England proposed in 1981 that the anti-cancer effect of vegetables and fruits may be related to the β-carotene contained therein.
