Hot-dip galvanized zinc pots are susceptible to corrosion and premature failure causes corrosion of the entire galvanized line due to corrosion cracking or corrosion pitting. In this way, the economy is hurt. Based on the above problems, this paper studies the initial behavior of two large zinc pots. One is a zinc pot with a half of zinc ingot, the remaining zinc residue. One is all loaded zinc ingots. The furnaces used for the two methods are also different in structure. One is to have a gas collecting pipe at the longitudinal side of the zinc pot, and the other is to install a separate pipe at the bottom of the zinc pot. Due to corrosion, both methods are under investigation
