路易斯·尤哈斯(Louise Yuhas),美国密西根大学哲学博士,西方学院美术史和视觉艺术教授。研究兴趣含中国明代山水画、中国文学传统中的地形绘画性质、佛教和佛教艺术由印度传入中亚、中国和日本的演变过程。本文通过洛杉矶艺术博物馆藏的三幅晚明杰作,对画家个人经历、家庭背景和社会背景作了考察,分析了17世纪中国个人主义绘画历史背景和艺术特点,特别对晚明“遗民”画家的绘画思潮和风格作了重点的阐述和诠释。
Louise Yuhas, Ph.D., University of Michigan, Professor of Art History and Visual Arts, Western College. His research interests include the landscape paintings of Ming Dynasty in China, the nature of topographic paintings in the Chinese literary tradition, and the evolution of Buddhism and Buddhist art from India to Central Asia, China and Japan. Based on the three late Ming masterpieces hidden in the Los Angeles Museum of Art, this article examines the personal experiences, family background and social background of painters, analyzes the historical background and artistic features of Chinese individualistic painting in the 17th century, Painter’s painting trend of thought and style made a key explanation and interpretation.
