特别企划编者按:版画在上个世纪的前半叶一直是为中国观众喜闻乐见的一种绘画形式,特别是木刻版画,因其制作方法较简单、传播快捷方便而在解放区成为最重要的宣传方式。版画也是历届全国美术展览中必不可少的一个参展的绘画门类。但是,与其他画种一样,在艺术形式与手段日新月异的今天,版画也不可避免地走入了低迷状态,面临着如何表现绘画主题、如何更新材料的问题。因为中国美术馆即将举办的几个重要的版画展览,所以我们邀请了几位版画家、理论家从不同的角度谈谈目前中国和国外版画的现状,希冀这些中肯而详实的文字能为关心版画发展的朋友提供一些有益的建议和帮助。
Special Editor’s Note: Printmaking has been a form of painting loved by Chinese audiences for the first half of the last century. Woodcutting, in particular, has become the most important propaganda method in the Jiefang for its simpler method of production and faster and easier dissemination. Printmaking is also an indispensable painting exhibition in the national art exhibitions. However, just like other kinds of paintings, with the rapid changes in the forms and means of art, prints have inevitably gone into a downturn and face the problem of how to display the theme of painting and how to update the materials.
