Pakistan Hydropower Development Authority (WAPDA) has ordered 5 Francis turbines from the German company Voïces Hydro for the Ghazi Barotha hydroelectric project on the Indus River, with a stand-alone capacity of 295MW. The Gazibarotta Hydropower Station west of Islamabad is under construction. The power station takes water from the river at 52km upstream and passes through diversion channels and five pressure pipes with a diameter of 10.6m
