玻璃钢作为非金属防腐蚀材料目前已在国内外得到广泛的应用。这是由于玻璃钢与金属防腐蚀材料相比具有以下的优点:对大多数酸、碱、盐等化学介质稳定,轻质高强,成型工艺简单,使用安全可靠和维护修理方便。一般说来,采用合理设计和正确选材所制得的玻璃钢耐腐蚀产品,在100℃以下的介质侵蚀下,其使用寿命可达5年以上。但是,如果设计不合理或者选材不恰当,所制得的耐腐蚀玻璃钢产品,在介质的侵蚀下也可能在短期内损坏报废。耐腐蚀玻
