采用矮败小麦与小偃麦中4 、中5和普通小麦亚远缘聚合杂交的方法 ,以多生态环境为选择条件 ,优质、高产、多抗型和广适性为选择目标 ,将高蛋白资源及中间偃麦草的优异抗病基因导入普通小麦 ,育成了适应山西北部春麦区种植的优质、抗病、高产的春小麦新品种晋春 14号。 1998年经农业部谷物监督检验测试中心分析的各项指标均达到山西省强力小麦指标。 1999年被山西省品种审定委员会命名为强力优质春小麦——晋春 14号
