石球热风炉曾在美国的小型试验炉应用过,但至今尚未正式用于生产。它具有蓄热快传热效率高的特点,缺点是石球层中孔隙小容易被煤气灰堵塞,因而,不敢用于生产。目前,大高炉的除尘设备已相当完善,煤气经过除尘后含灰量已相当低微,同时石球热风炉在设计上也考虑到了清灰的问题。因此,这种缺点已不能再妨碍它应用于生产上去。为了提高热风温度,节省热风炉在修建中的设备和投资,我们曾对这种热风炉作了一段试验工作。石球是由高铝粘土制成的。热风炉的加热和预热空气的原理和目前使用的考贝式热风炉是一样的。在加热阶段是由煤气燃烧后的高温气体通过石球层将小球加热,在冷却阶段是通冷风于小球层中将冷风预热为热风。一、试验结果在我院设计和修建的3M~3小高炉采用了两座这种热风炉作为预热空气之用,对于正常生产的高炉为了使清灰或修理不影响热风供应,建议采用3个热风炉或每两个高炉采用5个热风炉为宜。热风炉的主要尺寸如图1。石球的直径为40mm,是在盘式或滚筒式成球机内制成,如无设备亦可由手工制成。制球的原料:生高铝粘土粉40%;熟高铝粘土粉60%。这两种粘土粉经充分混匀后逐渐加入旋转盘内并喷以水和纸浆废液的混合物。纸浆液量为原料的1%重。在旋转盘内粉聚结成小粒,小粒再逐渐长大成球,当到规定尺寸时

The stone balls are made of high-alumina clay. The principle of heating and preheating the air stove is the same as that of the current test-bed stove. During the heating phase, the pellets are heated by the high-temperature gas burned by the coal gas through the stone ball layer. In the cooling phase, the cold air is preheated into the hot air in the ball layer.
